Adobe Flash with Rosetta Stone Advantage

In order to utilize Rosetta Stone Advantage, you will need to allow Adobe Flash Player access to your microphone and camera.  When accessing the program, you should receive a pop-up window that will ask you to give this permission.  To do so, you will need to click “Allow” and “Remember,” and then click “Close.”

If you do not see this screen or are unable to progress from this screen, please click on the appropriate error below to find out more information on troubleshooting the issue.

Failure to display

If you do not receive a pop-up window asking you to allow Rosetta Stone Advantage access to your camera and microphone, it is because the zoom on your web browser is not set to 100%.

To resolve this, select your browser and follow the steps:

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on "View" at the top of your screen.
  2.  Click on “Zoom” and choose 100%.
  3. Exit and then relaunch the browser.

Mozilla Firefox

  1.   Click on the menu button at the top right hand corner of your screen
  2.   Using the plus and minus sign, adjust the screen view until it reads 100%.
  3.  Exit and relaunch the browser.

Google Chrome

  1.  Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top right hand corner of your screen.
  2.  Click on "Reset to default" to return the browser to a 100% resolution.
  3.  Exit and then relaunch the browser.

Enable hardware acceleration

If you receive a pop up window, but see a message asking you to “Enable hardware acceleration,” it is because your browser is in a private browsing mode.

To resolve this, select your browser and follow the steps:

Mozilla Firefox

  1.  Click the menu button in the top right corner of the screen and select "Options."
  2.  On the next screen, click on the "Privacy" icon, and, under "History," select "Use custom settings for history."
  3.  Make sure that "Always use private browsing mode" is unchecked, and that "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third party cookies" is checked.
  4.  Click on "Show Cookies.
  5.   Click on "Remove All Cookies," then click "Close."
  6.  Click "OK."
  7.   Repeat step 1, and click on the "Advanced" icon.
  8.   Select the "Network" tab.
  9.  Under "Cached Web Content," click on "Clear Now."
  10.   Click "OK."
