If you have been seeking out a Russian language class, you’re in the right spot. Whether you need to learn the language for business, or are just curious and looking for a personal challenge, learning Russian is highly rewarding. Knowing Russian opens the door to a whole new world of opportunities in your professional life, and is a highly marketable language in business, academics, and government.
And if you are traveling to Russia, whether for business or pleasure, it will be very important to learn to speak at least a bit of the language. Unlike most other countries, where English is common among natives, only 30% of Russians can speak or understand it.
Russian has only 33 characters in the Cyrillic alphabet. After you master the structure of those characters, learning to match them with sounds isn’t as difficult because many of the sounds mimic those in the English alphabet. While memorizing a few words and phrases is possible, a proper Russian language class is the best way for you to actually learn the language and be successful in using it in everyday conversation. Rosetta Stone has over 25 years of experience in language learning programs and is ready to help you in your journey.
The ease in which you learn Russian is going to be a result of the time you have to commit, the ability to incorporate learning into your daily practice, and the quality of your language learning program.
With Rosetta Stone’s Dynamic Immersion® methodology, you will learn to speak the language, not just recite a handful of memorized words. This immersive approach prepares you to use Russian in your everyday life. And because practice of a new language is the essential component of learning, we have constructed the learning into bite-sized lessons which sync across all of your devices. This makes daily commitments to your Russian practice achievable and convenient as possible with a mobile app and desktop version that are always in sync. This consistency will be the key to your success.
It’s also important that your practice includes correct pronunciation. Perfecting your pronunciation will rely on you receiving immediate and accurate feedback on your Russian pronunciation attempts. Our TruAccent™ speech-recognition engine is a powerful tool to guide you to the correct pronunciation. This patented technology compares your voice to native speakers instantly, and then gives you real-time feedback so that you can correct any mistakes in your pronunciation on the spot. It’s also adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune your Russian accent. You’ll find that TruAccent is a powerful tool to help you achieve your goal in no time!
Surround yourself with Russian whenever, wherever with the Rosetta Stone app .
Download a unit and knock it out on the train or a flight. Select a 5-10 minute lesson and sneak it in while you wait in line or for your ride to show up. And explore dynamic features, like Seek and Speak, where you can point at an object in the real world and get a translation .
The best part? You don’t have to choose between app or desktop. Both come with your subscription and sync, so you can switch between devices seamlessly.
I've been using Rosetta Stone for years to gain basic competency in multiple languages including German, French, Italian, and recently Chinese and Russian. Starts with the very basics teaching basic vocabulary and grammar without any memorization. I've even impressed some locals in my travels with pronunciation and fluency. This is an excellent place to start if interested in starting to learn a new language or brushing up on one learned years ago.-Gladys
I am trying out Rosetta Stone, to see if it will help out with the correct grammar and conversation (as well as learning how to read and write the language). Within a week, I can already master the sentence structure and start learning the grammar with particles. The local community is so excited to see that I am starting to learn their language. Out of all the language learning tools out there, I 100% recommend Rosetta Stone!-Sy
I've tried other language learning software but Rosetta Stone is much more challenging and professional. I don't have to worry about earning points and following the leader board. I'm trying out the ninety day trial to learn some Russian and I will pay for the privilege once I reach the end of the trial.-Jim
