Korean lessons can help you learn the language , but keep in mind that not all programs or websites are created equal. The language is considered especially tricky for English speakers to learn without proper support, but it’s in high demand, so the effort on your part is worth the reward. And with the right language learning program, Korean doesn’t have to be out of reach.
Korean is spoken by over 75 million people worldwide, and is the official language of both North and South Korea. Influence of the Korean language is rising among new language learners, and may partially be attributed to the popularity of Korean pop music and interest in Korean cuisine.
There are many sounds in the Korean language which may be tricky for English speakers, but pronunciation is the most critical piece of language learning, so it’s important that your Korean lessons incorporate that.
Rosetta Stone’s Dynamic Immersion® method is the backbone of our language learning program. For success, you need to understand and be understood when trying to communicate in Korean with locals. It doesn’t matter how many Korean words and phrases you’ve memorized. Our lessons are based on contextualized learning, and words are presented in the situations in which they’d occur. This is an effective method to prepare you for use of Korean in everyday life.
Developing correct Korean pronunciation is made possible by getting direct and immediate feedback. This allows you to make corrections and practice until your mouth gets used to shaping the distinct sounds that make up the language. With TruAccent™ , our patented speech-recognition engine, you will be able to achieve this. TruAccent is embedded into every lesson. With the instant feedback provided, you can align your accent with that of fluent Korean speakers. This is one of the most important elements to help you learn to understand the Korean language .

I've been using Rosetta Stone for years to gain basic competency in multiple languages including German, French, Italian, and recently Chinese and Russian. Starts with the very basics teaching basic vocabulary and grammar without any memorization. I've even impressed some locals in my travels with pronunciation and fluency. This is an excellent place to start if interested in starting to learn a new language or brushing up on one learned years ago.-Gladys
I am trying out Rosetta Stone, to see if it will help out with the correct grammar and conversation (as well as learning how to read and write the language). Within a week, I can already master the sentence structure and start learning the grammar with particles. The local community is so excited to see that I am starting to learn their language. Out of all the language learning tools out there, I 100% recommend Rosetta Stone!-Sy
I've tried other language learning software but Rosetta Stone is much more challenging and professional. I don't have to worry about earning points and following the leader board. I'm trying out the ninety day trial to learn some Russian and I will pay for the privilege once I reach the end of the trial.-Jim
