It makes sense; workers who are too busy to attend in-person trainings should be given the opportunity to develop at their own time in the place of their choosing. Blended learning is, of course, affordable compared to the training, travel, and incidental expenses that come with live training. Depending on the method, it doesn’t really matter whether you are training five people or 500. And it can be accessible from anywhere in the world, negating the need for travel.
A leaner, more competitive organization
According to the eLearning Industry’s Network, 77 percent of American companies now offer online corporate training. The segment is expected to grow 13 percent annually over the next few years. Chances are, your competition is already experiencing the benefits of blended learning. That includes companies in the quickly developing Asian markets.
The smart money would say that online learning will soon be the de facto standard in corporate training sooner rather than later. If you want that smart money, you shouldn’t be on the tail end of that trend.
