ATD 2016: Get Ready to Learn, Network, and Empower
One of our favorite events of the year is the annual Association for Talent Development conference. This year’s edition will be taking place in Denver on May 22-25.
We will be having a large presence at the conference this year in an effort to discuss the benefits of language training with a worldwide contingent of talent developers.
To start, our booth in the exhibit hall, #1846, will be a hub of activity where attendees can:
- Participate in our #IntroIQ Speed Workshop and power up your first impression around the globe! Participants will learn – both culturally and linguistically – how to introduce themselves in a different country. The countries we will be featuring include China, Brazil, Russia, India, Germany, Japan and – for the international attendees – the US. All attendees will walk away with information cards summarizing what they learned and all participants in the demonstration will receive a free USB power bank to help “power” their learning.
- Get a free 15-minute consultation and meet 1:1 with one of our language experts to discuss current training and development programs.
Also, our own Sheerin Vesin, HR Practice Lead, will be participating in the Community Express: Global HR Fast Track session on Sunday, May 22nd at 1:30 pm in Mile High 1c. Community Express will highlight trends and hot topics influencing a community of professionals from all over the world with an interest in developing global talent, sharing regional besting practices, and conducting global benchmarking. Her portion of the program is “Language Strategy: The Pros and Cons of an English-Only Workplace”.
ATD is the largest conference in the talent development field, featuring over 300 workshops and sessions. Attendees come from all business verticals and a dozen different countries. Most of them work for companies with over 1,000 employees.
We’re very excited to have the opportunity to meet with so many influential business leaders and share what language learning can do for their organizations and how important it is for 21st century success.
