What is a Digital Download?

Will I be able to run this on my PC? What if I have a Mac?
Both our TOTALe Online and Version 4 CD-ROM products support computers with Windows or Mac operating systems. Complete system requirements can for your machine can be found here.
I'm receiving an error code when using the product, what do I do?
While we do our best to ensure our products work as often as well as possible, errors do happen. If your issue provided you with an exact error code, visit Success Central and run a search for the exact code.
How do I install the program?
First and foremost, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. If it does, then you're in good shape.
If you happen to have TOTALe Online then you're in luck, as the program is entirely browser-based and requires no installation.
If you've purchased Rosetta Stone Version 4 Digital Download, you'll be given an activation ID and a download link upon completing your purchase. Click these links for a step-by-step installation guide for Mac and Windows.

How do I deactivate the product?
There are plenty of reasons to deactivate your Rosetta Stone product, from a simple return to migrating to a new computer. Deactivating is a simple process that can be done through the program interface itself.
1. Click on the Preferences icon in the Toolbar
2. Click on Add or Remove Languages
3. Click Deactivate Products

How do I install Version 4 CD-ROM on a computer with no CD drive?
Do you want the benefits of our Version 4 CD-ROM but lack a CD drive to install it on your computer? While this makes things a bit more difficult, it is still possible to use Version 4 CD-ROM on the computer in question. Firstly, check to see if your desired language offers a downloadable option. If that is not available, there are other ways to get the content of the CD-ROMs onto your computer.

Where do I renew my subscription?
Within the product interface, you can renew your access to the online features by choosing Manage My Account from the toolbar.
I purchased the Version 4 CD-ROM set. How many computers can I install the software on?
The software can be installed on up two computers for use for up to five family members.
What is Audio Companion and how can I can use it?
Audio Companion™ is a specially designed set of activities that compliments the core Rosetta Course lessons so you can continue your learning away from your computer. These are audio-only files that are separate from our selection of Mobile Apps. Audio Companion is included with your Version 4 CD ROM purchase. The CDs can be played on a normal CD player or as MP3s.
There are many ways for you to access the files on the device on your choice. If you have a CD player it is as simple as inserting the disk and hitting play. Things are a bit more complicated if you want to rip the files to your MP3 player, phone, tablet, etc. Please check out this article for a step-by-step walkthrough.
