Great Very good language learning tool. Me and My son both use it and it helps greatly. We learned basic Spanish within a few weeks. November 28, 2012
Fail to upgrad free when Mac Changes versions will not work when you upgrade Mac o.S software. Rosetta wants $99 for upgrade that will. I am moving on to another product. I also told my school not to upgrade Mac O. Until they made a change in product. March 17, 2012
When I would see the commercials for Rosetta Stone they always show people that have been using for awhile. And I just got the idea learning another language was going to be easier then when I was in school. But I was wrong. Rosetta Stone helps make learning the language easier but I find that I know the words but I don't know quite how to put the words together to make a sentance that makes any sense. But hopefully when I reach the later levels that I will be able to place everything together vs. just knowing how to say words. April 10, 2011
So Easy! I have taken language classes at high school and college level and have never been able to pick up a language so quickly! Rosetta Stone is much more intuitive than traditional language learning tools, making it much easier to learn! April 9, 2011
very helpful I took a trip to Argentina recently, and though I can speak French fairly fluently, I did not know a word of Spanish before I purchased the Rosetta Spanish version. I spent an hour or two every day for two months before my trip using the program, and I'm happy to report that I was able to converse with the locals with practically no difficulty. Buenos Aires is a great city, I had a fantastic time, wonderful people that love to share their culture, I highly recommend Rosetta if you like to travel as much as I do. April 8, 2011
Just great I have always considered myself a failure at learning a second language. I doubt at my age I'll ever speak Spanish fluently, but given the immediate and totally surprising (to me) results I experienced (and continue to experience) with th RosettaStone course I am well on my way to becoming functional in the language. I am totally amazed at the retention of nouns and even verb conjugations with the RosettaStone approach. I can't say enough about the course and am recommending it to everyone I know that wants to learn another language. My trips to Mexico are going to be so much more enjoyable! Thanks RosettaStone!!!! With and Without I learned the German language while working Their. But it took me ten years to do it. When I look back . If I had the option of Rosette Stone at the time, I could have done it in a few short weeks. At present I am learning Spanish [latin American .] After trying numerous courses, Rosette Stone is the best I have ever seen. November 13, 2010
The Best Language course!!!! I have used another major brand audio course and Rosetta Stone's way of teaching is by far the best!!! I find myself thinking in Spanish now! Bravo R.S. November 8, 2010
I have purchased three sets The first set I bought was for my daughter, who married into a family from Mexico. The second set was for my granddaughter, who is a nurse in the San Diego area and wanted better communication with her patients. The third set was for two youngest grandchildren (sister/brother). The boy is getting good grades in elementary Spanish, but the girl is struggling. My intent was to give her confidence. I have recommended Rosetta Stone to many of my co-workers. It has been a good investment, and an opportunity to help my family November 6, 2010
A Jump Ahead I purchased this product for my high school freshman who had expressed an interest in learning more of the Spanish language. He was completely amazed of the results that he made in a summer's use. What he loved about Rosetta was that he learned a new language through seeing, hearing, and writing. He was able to learn the concepts quickly and retained the information that he learned. When he returned in the fall to take his Spanish 2 class he received a 99% on his pre assessment test and was moved ahead to the Spanish 3 class. Overall, Rosetta is an amazing product that is a perfect aid for anyone learning a new language. April 30, 2010
fun way to learn spanish I look forward to my "Spanish lesson" with Rosetta Stone. It's fun to use. The photos and other graphics are topical, and there's enough repetition to be helpful but not so much that it's boring. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to learn beginning Spanish who wants the flexibility to do a lesson whenever they want and who can afford it. April 29, 2010
The photos and having an expert pronounce each word correctly is the best part of the Rosetta Stone learnng experience. The photos assist you in learning the new language words, which makes it enjoyable in learning to speak a new langauage. April 14, 2010
SUPER EASY TO LEARN!! I love how the product guides you through the lessons and incorporates what you have learned with new words and phrases. It even automatically reviews things if you need to! April 12, 2010
Back for more I have the complete RS German edition which I've found to be really great. My wife and I are now going to give Spanish a shot as well. In general, for serious study of these languages, a grammar book is necessary. April 12, 2010
don't get it can figure out pictures by certain words but don't see how this is going to teach me to speak and understand the language April 10, 2010
I love this program, I've tried other Spanish programs and was unable to learn very much. With Roseta Stone I'm learning so much more. Although I do wish things were said in English too so I would know what I'm saying. I can figure it out most of the time but sometimes I can't and have to look it up in the Spanish Dictionary or ask my husband. But all in all I really love it and plan to buy more lessons in the future. April 10, 2010
Rosetta Stone Spanish I'm just starting the Level 1 and find it to be an extremely effective way to learn Spanish! I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I know in just 3 short weeks and am looking forward to completing Level 1 so that I can move on to Level 2! April 9, 2010
Best way to learn This is a quick easy way to learn a language. I am 81 years old, and chose to do this, not only to learn, but to keep my mind alert. I am taking it slow, and enjoying each lesson. April 9, 2010
Great Software The Rosetta Stone program is easy makes learning another language easy and fun! April 9, 2010
excellent addition to my spanish base. love that they don't give you anything, you need to think out every nuance, every meaning. it makes you think and by thinking, you learn. the repetion aspect annoys but i totally understand that it works so i do it. April 8, 2010
Finally, I can do it! This product is absolutely perfect for the way I learn - for the way everyone learns! I have always wanted to learn to speak Spanish. I am terrible with memorization and thought I would never be able to accomplish this goal. When I am thinking of a word, I can still see the Rosetta Stone images in my mind even from my first lesson. It's amazing! Thank you Rosetta Stone - finally a New Year's resolution I don't have to abandon. Muchas gracias! April 8, 2010
AWESOME I was able to understand and speak Spanish on my last trip to Mexico after just 4 weeks using Rosetta Stone. There's no better way to learn a foreign language. April 8, 2010
Fast, Easy, Awesome! I bought Rosetta Stone to prepare myself for going on a study abroad trip to Mexico for Summer 2010. I have been using the program since early February 2010 and not only do you learn the language fast, but you retain it longer and start thinking in the language right away. It's a lot different than classroom learning because you aren't getting every little thing translated or focusing on grammar rules. You learn the language gradually but with strength and more effect. So far I am almost done with Spanish Level 1 and I probably know the same amount as a 1st year Spanish student after a whole year of taking the language in a classroom setting, and I have only been using the program for 2 months. This program is so worth it! April 8, 2010
New world This program has opened a new world to me and allowed me to make many more friends After using your program for a very short period of time I was able to traverse around many areas and communicate like a pro. What I didn’t realize when I purchased this program was the great number of transplanted people far away from their own homes. Sitting in an Italian café I found myself talking to a wonderful couple in Spanish! We have been invited to their daughter’s wedding in Spain and will be staying at their vineyard. Once again thank you for the new world. Sincerely Kevin and Connie April 8, 2010
Fun, and I'm learning! I enjoy the program and am learning Spanish! I think to do your best you need to do some everyday, however I have skipped some days and that's when the reviews are great. I wonder if I have forgotten, and then I make it thru the review with no problem which is reassuring. I enjoy the process, and the fact that it does correct your pronunciation- and yes, I have had to go to the "graph" screen and compare my pronunciation to the correct one to figure out where I am wrong- but it works. I do wish that there was a supplement workbook. There are some words that I have not figured out the meaning just from pictures, or you really have to study the differences in the pictures to get what they want to convey; in my opinion a few words would go a long way in clarifying/ or clarifying quicker. It would also be helpful in the car as some times are not appropriate to have it on the stereo, or have to tune out the rest of the people and have the ipod headphones in- but a workbook would allow this and you could still study. I admit I have found some Spanish rules online that have clarified things for me, because I felt I was lacking in some explanations. But all in all I like the program, it is fun, it does teach and correct your Spanish, and I am learning! April 8, 2010
It WORKS I have tried learning Spanish in so many ways including having name cards on hundreds of items all over the house; listening to other tapes and cds that went too fast and I could not keep up; listening to my wife as she uses her less than perfect Spanish on our trips to Spanish-speaking countries; taking a college class. Nothing stuck with me. At least not until NOW! Rosetta Stone has the perfect mix of learning styles and really does approach language learning in a natural, easy, and enjoyable way. I still have a long way to go to be conversationally fluent but I know that this WORKS!!!!! April 7, 2010
Review of Rosetta Stone Leve 1 & 2 I purchased Rosetta Stone Level 1 & 2 as I was interested in increasing my understanding of the Spanish language (Latin America). I also wanted to be able to communicate basic thoughts and ideas and be able to converse with Spanish locals. I have found Rosetta Stone to be very helpful in this regard. It is very easy to follow and can be customized to individual circumstances. Some lessons are only 10 minutes allowing for great flexibility. The lessons completely immerse the student in the language as the media commercials advertise; and this is key. As the student sees the images and also hears the native speakers, it's natural language immersion. I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to learn another language. It's been my experience that one learns to speak, read, understand, and write the language of choice all at the same time. The price is on the high range side, but worth the money. I have purchased other language learning books and audio tapes, but Rosetta Stone is by far the best; as far as ease of use and sucessfulness. After 2 months I can understand native speakers in restaurants and can understand the gist of the written language. The included audio companion was also most helpful while traveling; to reinforce learning lessons. 5 stars to Rosetta Stone!!!! (Satisfied Oregon Customer) April 7, 2010
Old dog new tricks This is my second Rosetta Stone Language Course, first was Portuguese. I use both Rosetta Stone courses for my business in South America. I find both very easy to dedicate an hour or so a day to the course. The format of teaching like we learned our first language seems very effective. The ability sort of sneaks up on you, but it is learning. I find the Rosetta Stone way is not at all like having a translator in my head, but more like thinking in the new language. They say its not easy for an old dog to learn new tricks, but whomever said it didn't know about Rosetta Stone. April 7, 2010
Nice Product I have just completed the Level 1 disk set for Latin America Spanish. It is amazing after 4 weeks what a difference it has made. My plan is to complete Level 2 in 4 weeks as well. You do have to remind yourself to be patient while learning as future lessons enforce what you do not understand at the beginning. April 7, 2010
Learning Spanish With the need to learn Spanish, this is the best way to learn it. Trying to learn it in school never worked but this has me understanding what's being said by Spanish speaking people. April 7, 2010
