Speak it, Know it.
I absolutely love how Rosetta Stone teaches you how to speak the language that you want to learn! When I grew up learning Spanish throughout high school, they didn't really teach us how to speak Spanish. We just learned to read and write it so speaking the language became scary. With Rosetta Stone, there are exercises where you will actually speak Spain Spanish and it definitely makes you more confident to actually speak the language than to just read and write it. So buy Rosetta Stone! You won't regret it.

I'm speaking Spanish!
I am so happy that I invested in this program. It is amazing! It really forces you to learn the language and understand it. I want to learn like 3 other languages because of it. Rosetta Stone has, without a doubt, NO COMPETITION.

could be better
I have just started the Rosetta stone and it teaches you the basics and forces you to learn. The only bad thing I have experienced is the mic. The mic is not good. I was trying to say a word for ten minutes and it kept saying it didn't hear me. The Rosetta stone is amazing but the mic could be better.

I heart Rosetta Stone!
I am a busy working mother of 3 and Military wife. We recently received orders to Rota, Spain and will be moving in June. I thought it would be nice to have a good foundation in Spanish in order to be able to go into town to shop and order in Restaurants. I ordered Rosetta Stone Spanish levels 1- 5 in Febuary and absolutly love it, best purchase ever.
I am extremely pleased with the ease of use and how quickly I have learned. I try to log in daily and at least read a story and play some games in Rosetta World. I have a 40 minute commute to work and listen to the audio CD's in my car while driving. While the games, CD's and stories enhance my learning experience the greatest adjunct to my success is joining the live studio sessions with the native speakers. I feel so confident after my sessions and realize I know so much more than I do. I like how the native speakers challenge me with new words to expand my already growing vocabulary. Nothing reinforces a new unit learned like a live studio session.
The customer service has been top notch. I have not had any luck with finding a partner for gaming. The consierges offered to find me a partner as well as joined a game or two. I accidentaly hit that I didn't like my studio session and someone called and emailed me immediatly to get my feedback. Everyone is helpful and willing to make Rosetta stone the total and best learning experience possible.
I am very pleased with the results Rosetta Stone has provided me. I will have a much richer cultural experience while living in Spain thanks to all I have learned. Thanks Rosetta Stone.

Now you're talking!!!
I bought RS Spanish for my college son who's heading to Spain this summer to study there. Ive taken foreign language emersion classes before to prepare me for my global business activities. Do they work...yes. Are the time consuming...very much so. Are they expensive...thousands of dollars. The RS program is a cost effective / efficient way to arrive at the same end point - ready to talk to the locals! My son learns Spanish while he's at school here and will be ready to talk to the locals in Spain this May!!!

Studio with Native Speaker
I recently had my first online studio with a native speaker. I was very nervous because I didn't know what to expect. There was one other student with me. I could tell that he is a little ahead of me. The native speaker really put me at ease and was able to get the idea across if I had trouble understanding. I think this will be a great way to enhance my learning experience. I can't wait until the next session.

¿Y tú? ¿Hablas español?
As a Spanish teacher of 10 years, I purchased the Rosetta Stone for use with my bilingual daughter to sharpen her skills. Even though we are a bilingual household, my daughter, 7, needs the support of the Rosetta Stone for reading and writing. To her, its fun to practice daily. I have assigned it as part of her daily homework.
Since I already am fluent in the Spanish and love the way the Rosetta Stone presents languages, I purchased French and German. I delight in studying 10 to 30 minutes a day. I keep the CD´s in my car to practice when on longer drives. My daughter has become so interested in what I am saying that she has taken up her third language, French, at age 7. Thank you Rosetta Stone for giving us a great way to learn at home and no longer be behind other countries in which the people are multilingual in three, four, five languages.

The whole family is learning a new language!
I bought Spanish originally for my children to catch up to the kids in their new school (who had been taking Spanish for 4 years). They have now not only caught up, but are passing them on testing and pronunciation. The teacher is quite impressed and is recommending this product to all her students.

Great for review
I had five years of Spanish in high school. Three years later I switch majors in college and suddenly needed another semester. Guess how much i remembered off the top of my head.
I got Rosetta Stone, and was surprised by how easily I learned new words and remembered old ones. The pictures helped me remember the vocab better than just written words. My only two complaints would be the lack of formal grammar training and the milestone event. The present and future and past tenses are fine, but I recognized a lesson using commands. If I hadn't already known it, I wouldn't have realized they were commands. I worry for what more advanced verb forms hold and wish they had a guide book of general rules or something.
The milestones are pure annoyance. It's supposed to be "having a conversation". But your part is scripted, and they don't tell you what your lines are. It's a guessing game and I just talk gibberish until it tells me what it wants me to say, say it, and move on.
Now I am breezing through the class (most of it I am slowly remembering from previous classes) and really happy with my Rosetta Stone experience. I plan to keep using it so I don't forget again. Overall, great program, especially if you need to review what you learned years ago.

Amazing
The product is beyond amazing. My biggest problem with classes was always trying to quickly translate in my head. This would slow down my learning curve because I couldn't accept something like mesa is just mesa rather than table. Rosetta Stone, however, helps you associate the word with it's meaning so much better than anything else I have tried before

best way to learn a language
I have never recommended a product to anyone so heartily as I have the Totale package. I am a linguist by profession and speak several languages fluently. I learned the other languages 'the classroom way', and have always been a bit sceptical about learning a new language through a program, and what finally sold me on the Rosetta Stone package was the online component, which in my opinion is a key to its success. Of course, the program itself is so much fun that not only I myself spent every moment of my spare time going through the lessons, but even my 9 year old daughter, who generally doesn't like learning anything new, started it and spent all the time alotted to her for computer games learning French with Rosetta Stone! The online component of the program is absolutely indispensable, because you won't speak the language without actually interacting with people in the language, it's passive vs. active recall and I have spent tons of money in the past making it possible with one-on-one lessons with a native speaker. And the online games you get to play based on the lessons and the stories you read and listen to are fantastic ways to get used to the sound of the language which in turn promotes word recognition in real life. All in all, I am very happy with the program, at least the 1st and 2nd levels I have gone through so far, and would certainly recommend it to anyone. I have already purchased another language for my family - and for myself to brush up on and chat with native speakers!

Not just a learning tool
I have always wanted to learn Spanish; however, with my busy schedule and life in general I never took the time. I recently lost my job of 20 years and thought it was a good time to learn another language. I had heard about Rosetta Stone but was apprehensive because coming from the old school, lessons are taught in class, right?. I ordered the Rosetta Stones full program and the program has changed my life. What I mean by “not just a learning tool” is the concept of visual learning. The concept is so simple and my children are learning right along with me. I can personally attest to , “families, who learn together, stay together”. This program has brought my family closer together and we spend many evenings learning then practicing on each other. What an enjoyable way to learn a new language and because of the simple concept of learning by visual aid, we are going to add another language to learn next year.
My sincere thank you to Rosetta Stone for an amazing product and giving me precious time with my family.

Great! But there is weakness
This is really great product to learn foreign language. Overall, it is well-structured and more importantly it's very fun!
I'm feeling like playing kind of game.
However, since this product uses only foreign language and sometimes pictures are confusing. So I cannot understand what does the sentence mean...Basically, this product doesn't need a dictionally but I need it sometimes.
So, I say, this is really great product. But it doesn't mean you can easily acuire language. There is no short-cut of language learning.

It really works
I used rosetta stone levels 1-5 to learn spanish and i would have to say, with confidence, that I am fluent in the Spanish language. Granted, i traveled to Spain for 1 week and have been watching Spanish television here and there, but the program is mostly what gave me my boost. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in learning a language with the Latin alphabet. The price is very steep unfortunately, but it really is a great, revolutionary, program. I am a Rosetta Stone success story.

Old Dog, New Trick
I love, love, love to travel. I spoke halting Spanish - enough to find a room, ask directions, order food, and get rudimentary information about peoples' lives. Last year, I traveled with someone speaks Spanish like a native - and I realized I had previously only been half traveling. The new traveling experience was richer, more adventurous and layered. So, I bought Rosetta Stone, fearing that I, a more mature traveler, would have a hard time learning a language. But no! The interactive audio and visual approach makes the process easy. I still have a way to go, but the learning journey is much easier with Rosetta Stone. Thank you!

So far so good!!! A little difficult only because they do not tell you what the person is say, so someone could take it in different context. Other then then its great!! I actually feel like I'm learning and having fun doing it!!

This product is excellent. It has helped me to learn Spanish(Spain) for my church mission. I will be serving in Barcelona, Spain for two years. I have gotten a great head start with this product.

Como se dice eso en .... ??
I love this software. I have three small children and we have all been working on our Spanish. At your own pace, age 6 - 46, the later being slower, my house is now having a weekly Spanish night and each week we notice that we are able to converse easier. I LOVE IT... I wish I had found this software before I spent so much money and time going to classes that just did not work. A small investment for a big return.

Great idea!
My son is an eighth grader who wants to play on an international basketball team that is going to Costa Rica this summer. He loves his RosettaStone! He stays on it 3 to 4 hours a day and only come away to go to basketball practice. He is determined to be able to speak Spanish by June. We recommend RosettaStone to all our friends!
