Hebrew Level 1
Needs Phonetic spelling
In most instances Rosetta stone is a good product. With regards to Hebrew, they have not succeeded. They need to incorporate phonetic spelling of Hebrew words into the program. They ask you to match words written in Hebrew with pictures. Unless you can read Hebrew before you can speak, you are out of luck. I had to return the program.

This product is absolutely wonderful. i do regret i am currently unemployed and am no longer able to afford to order the whole set but i guarantee i will be purchasing the whole series as soon as i can. Thank you very much for the Great learning tool. I 100% will be recommending it to anyone and everyone that wants to learn a new language.

Everyone is Capable
I have always learned languages with an almost astonishing ease, but I admit that I was skeptical to try Rosetta Stone Hebrew. As the language is based on entirely different alphabet and character pronunciation, I thought it would be very difficult for me to learn, whether it was reading, writing or speaking. I was wrong. I have only had the program for a little over a month, and I have already made great strides in mastering this language. The setup is extremely user friendly, and despite any English instruction, the lessons seem to flow unhindered by that fact. I am very pleased with this product, and I look forward to moving on to other languages in the future.

Going on the road.
I am going on a trip to Israel in March of next year. It is slow go for me learning Hebrew, but is beginning to get engrained in me.

I think this software is doing what it says it does. Whether it is the best one I do not know but it seems to be completing what I wanted it to.

Hebrew Level 1
Rosetta Stone is an amazing product. In less than 3 months I am able to speak and read Hebrew, which I consider quite a feat since it's a completely different language reading right to left. I have been complimented on my accent and amazed others at my ability to sound out words. It's cheaper than a language class because you can keep redoing lessons until you have mastered the section and you can learn at your own pace. It truly is a fabulous program that caters to everyone! I highly reccommend this.

Learning a Heavenly Language
The fundamental Hebrew vocabulary and essential language structure lessons are very well organized and presented. Having taken 20 tours to Israel and working closely with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem I needed to become more conversational. Your program is helping a great deal.
I find the daily lessons and review challenging, but I need the challenge:>)
I find the pictures very illustrative and the listening skills needed for accuracy intense.
Thanks for the stress, the test and the challenge!

I have been learning Hebrew off and on. I was amazed how with this program that even when I started it over because I thought I forgot some of it. I picked it up right away and recalled the words and phrases. This system works.

Quick and Easy Learning
Rosetta Stone is very easy to use and lessons are easy to follow. Intuitive learning is more effective than tapes, classes, or online courses. Actually learn to use the language not just memorize vocabulary.

Not as advertised
Rosetta Stone's Hebrew is extremely difficult because it displays the word/phrase in Hebrew characters and requires you to match it to the correct picture. Instead, the program should display the Hebrew phonetically in order to facilitate recognition. Children learn to speak a language years before they are taught to read it.
I am considering returning the program and do not advise Rosetta Stone for languages with an unfamiliar alphabet.
Learning French and Spanish in school was easy because of the similiar alphabet and many cognate words.

A Family Learning Environment
I purchased the Level 1 Rosetta Stone in Hebrew for my husband, but I found that I got "addicted" to it myself. It has become part of my evening ritual to sit down and go through at least one lesson.
As an early childhood educator, I was thrilled to see that our granddaughter asked if she could also use the Rosetta Stone and has found it a compelling way to spend her time while at our home.
We will most certainly purchase additional Levels in the near future.

simply the best
when i was young I attended hebrew school for about ten years of my life. I did not learn half as much as I have from just the first half of my first lesson in the rosettastone program. The proccess of emersion should be the only way language is taught to anyone of any age. It is how I learned to speak english when I was a newborn, and it is how I will learn hebrew through the rosettastone program. I would recomend the product to anyone of any backround.

I was able in just six months to learn enough Hebrew to converse in Tel Aviv for a month without one, not one problem. (Taxi Drivers Excluded of Course) I was so very happy to have the audio addition I spend so much time at work driving and I was able to get in at least two hrs of review every day. And in addition I'm a Police Officer and will be paid an additional 5% for the second language. Its truly been a win win for me
Thank you Rosetta Stone.
