Amazing Investment In My Future
I was unsure at first and put off ordering the program a number of times. I finally ordered and I instantly became excited. The lessons came. They were easy to get acclimated to using and I quickly started seeing vast improvement in speaking and understanding Greek. This is an investment in me eventually visiting family in Greece and being able to communicate with them. It also may be what I need to give me a kick in the pants to book the flight.

Greek Lesson
I think it would be hard if someone did not have the basic knowledge of Greek. I know the alphabet and pronunciations. I get frustrated with the writing it is too hard, I feel we should know the alphabet and I feel like there should be some way to explain what you need to do on some of the lessons if you dont understand what the lesson wants you to do. Also i always have to reset my headphones after each lesson, I have said some things wrong and the program says i said it right and I have said things right and the programs says I was wrong.

Great product for motivated individual
In high school I took the standard Spanish classes to meet the foreign language requirement as I was told it was easy. I never enjoyed it and barely got by in the classes. I believe this is because everyone was learning spanish and so I lost interest because it was so popular and everyone was doing it so I couldn't really boast to my friends about the new language as most of them were taking the same language also!
So after graduating and finally not having to learn any languages I gradually grew an interest in learning a language again, but most certainly not spanish as I had no interest. I wanted a challenging, but interesting language and chose Greek because I love history and especially the Greek culture so I decided to try my hand at learning this language.
I haven't gotten too far into the lessons as I am moving slow so I make sure I understand and comprehand everything in each lesson. But I am picking up on the language and learning bits by bit. I won't leave a lesson without getting a 100% so that way I can leave with the confidence I learned and understand everything. Nearly every lesson within a lesson I have done at least twice but more likely 3 times if not more.
Even though I really only know the basics I am already bragging about what I know to my friends and co-workers at work! This program keeps me interested in learning the language and want to actually learn it to the best of my ability!

Great, but it'll cost you more $
This software really is great... you start understanding the language, and slowly you'll start to think and speak it as well. However, the software is a little bug prone, nothing horrible, but annoying here and there. Also, with multiple users, the software asks everyone, every time, if they want to start online work, until someone (accidentally) signs up for it. This is not good, because we weren't ready for it yet and it is only offered for one user, and for a limited time. Other users have to pay extra, and it is pricey.

Best learning!
I am a college student and have paid money for classes to learn languages before. For the price and accessibility this is by far the best way to learn. I can bring it anywhere with me on my iTouch, or at home on the PC. No problems. If I don't understand I can repeat the exercises until I feel like I fully comprehend the lesson. This product far outweighs it's value! I would definitely recommend this over paying for a semester course!

Excellent resource...
If you are self-motivated then this program is excellent for you. My boyfriend is learning Greek and he is a big time video gamer so he is seeing it as another video game. I must say his Greek has improved quite a bit. Thanks Rosetta!!

Finally, a practical and fun way to learn Greek!
My father is first generation Greek, and I still have family in Athens including an aunt and cousins. I have wanted to learn Greek for a long time and have tried many different educational products and tapes without much success. Although my father knows eight languages, I did not inherit his linguistic aptitude! For example, when I took French in college (they did not offer modern Greek) I found this to be among my hardest classes.
Finally, I tried Rosetta Stone. I am amazed at how much Greek I have picked up in a short time. By devoting about 10 minutes per day on average with a 30 minute lesson once per weekend, I have made my way through Greek level 1 and part of level 2 in just a few months. My father is impressed with my growing Greek skills. I practice with the audio CD while driving to and from work, and this easily reinforces the lessons from the computer. What impresses me the most is how fun and easy this approach to learning a language is. I have been recommending Rosetta Stone to all of my friends who want to learn or improve their fluency in a foreign language. Once I complete Greek level 1 through 3, I plan to start Rosetta Stone French to improve my conversational French.

Excellent Program
I purchased Greek Level 1, 2, and 3. I started level 1 in February 2010 and I already feel confident speaking. Everything I learn, I then teach my 4yr old daughter who is loving it. As soon as she is able to use the mouse I will put her on the computer with the Rosetta Stone software. This is a wonderful program and I am so happy I made the investment for myself and for my children.

An absolute must for learning a new language.
I grew up as a first generation Greek in America. Only speaking Greek as a very young child. As I grew up I quit speaking Greek because my peers would make fun of me. Now being so proud of my heritage I wanted to relearn my second language. I ordered Rosetta Stone, an in just one week I started thinking in Greek, speaking and learning new words, & phrases and felt very confident in communicating with others. I never knew how to read or write Greek and with Rosetta Stone I am learning and I love it. Just learning at my age makes me feel great, what a great self improve. I love Rosetta Stone and I have recommended it to many people, and they have thanked me for the referral. It makes learning so much fun. It is a must at any age. I think now I want to learn another language. Thank you Rosetta Stone for making me richer in heritage.

Greek
I have really enjoyed working with the Greek program. I already had quite a bit of background in Greek, decent vocabulary, grammar, and good reading. However, my speaking fluency was really bad, and this helped me improve it immensely. I have so much more confidence now to say whatever I want to say in the everyday realm. My only complaint is that there aren't more levels!!!

Greek Level 1,2&3 with Audio Companion
A wonderfully progressive approach to learning Greek. I love the visual, auditory and written lessons. I can redo lessons and continue at my own pace. The periodic review lessons are helpful to retain knowledge. The audio companion is great for my commute to work. I am definitely making progress! Thank-you Rosetta Stone!

Best spent money
I had a very small understanding of this language and wanted to learn it properly. This has been the best experience for me. I fluently speak four languages since I studied languages all my life. Greek is a difficult one and I never thought it could be so easy to learn it with the Rosetta Stone method. I am going to Greece on vacation this summer and I will definitely show off with my Greek language skills now!!!!

Trying to learn Greek...
I purchased the Greek Level 1,2 & 3 and was impressed at how easy it was to load, navigate and use the headset... To date, I'm into Level 1, but am slowing down my pace to really absorb the language... I'm impressed that they are going into the spoken language & the written language at the same time, but I've found myself going back and repeating sections to make sure I absorb the spoken element since the Greek written language (alphabet is so different) appears complicated... I never learned Greek growing-up, but my family members (Greeks), say once you know how the different letters/characters sound, the spoken language will become easier... Tough language but I'm looking forward to visiting my relatives in 2011, and would like to able to converse, or at least understand...
Good purchase, I would buy again...

Vacation planning
I have been using the Rosetta Stone Greek lessons for the past few months in preparation of an upcoming vacation. I feel comfortable that I will be able to increase my vacation understanding and enjoyment after these studies. In the past I have always been able to learn a minimum to get me through a foreign country, this time I plan to be able to do more. As a history buff, it will be interesting to listen to the stories in the native language instead of only the English translation. Bartering with sales people should also be easier. Rosetta Stone has been easy and fun to use.

Best and worst
The best part of the program is the excellent reinforcement using many different formats for learning the language. I looked forward to doing a session each day.
The worst part of the program for me was the writing sections which had to be done the hunt and click method--very slow and frustrating. I ended up skipping all of the writing sections. Also I did not learn to use past tense for very many verbs. To say I learned to speak Greek would definitely be hyperbole.
Also another negative for the program was that it was designed to help people who would be living with a family, but there was very little of practical help for a short-term visitor. I had to buy a phrase book and a dictionary to help me piece together how to book a hotel room, what to order on a menu and other travel related words. Incidentally, I didn't learn until I bought the dictionary that I had completely confused the words for depart and arrive for airline flights.

Rosetta Stone is the way to go
The Rosetta Stone system is a world-class system. I speak English, Spanish, French and Italian having lived in Europe from many years. My education included La Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Madrid (the Official Language School) and the Sorbonne, and I am a big fan of traditional education, but unless well presented by a gifted teacher, learning a language can be a tedious endeavor.
In my studies I have learned that the most difficult part of learning any language, including one's native tongue (a one-year-old can comprehend a series of instructions but cannot speak for another year) is having the courage to utter one's first words to someone in another language!
With the Rosetta Stone you start speaking from the moment you begin. I am of Greek heritage but only English was spoken in our home (Greek was spoken when my grandparents came every week for dinner) and it is my sincere desire to be able to speak with my relatives when I go visit there. The foundation of a new language, learned almost automatically, could open other opportunities of more formal study if I choose. I am learning Greek very quickly and it is immensely satisfying. I learn and am entertained. I have the ability to challenge myself at my own pace - I am a freelancer with an unpredictable schedule so group language classes are out of the question and private traditional lessons can prove very costly. I can study when I feel like it and having it not feel like a chore makes me learn quickly in what truly feels like a private class. I'm looking forward to greeting my Greek relatives, sharing stories about our lives and to hear details I may not have known about my grandparents.

Greek Level 1,2 & 3
This program epitomizes ease of use and does an excellent job in building from the simple to the complex. The only thing that I would like to see in any of the next program editions is that the adaptive recall exercises be able to span the different levels. Some people might say it's not necessary to go back to simple levels once the more complex are mastered, but I think it helps to lock in concepts learned earlier if they are reviewed again after they are practiced at more complex levels.
I also wish there were more complex and interactive conversation scenarios.

Greek Level 1,2 & 3
I am trying to learn Greek, which is no easy task as the alphabet is different from many other languages. The beginning Greek Level 1 starts off in a very easy to understand format, but after continuing, I found that it jumps ahead rather quickly and I found that I have to return to the beginning over and over again.

Great vocabulary builder
I am Greek and bought the program for my husband so he could communicate better with my family on our trip to Greece later this year.
Rosetta Stone Greek 1,2&3 is wonderfull for increasing someones vocabulary but there is not enough focus on teaching the grammar that I think is very important.

Best gift ever
I bought the Rosetta Stone (Greek) for my boyfriend as a gift. He is Greek from his mother's side. He loves it. I can not wait every day to hear him talking to me Greek. We practice together.

Absolutely Awesome
I've just purchased the rosetta stone Greek software to impress a guys im really in love with by learning his home language & also to land a job in the country he lives in i have to know how to speak greek.
Ive found that its highly addictive and even though i've only gotten through just a few lessons, i find that i can already read a bit of the sentences written in greek.

Very good method
This method is great. I used it online for several months and I was able, last summer, for a small talk in Greece. Now I will buy the 1, 2, 3 set to improve my know ledges.

Ordering this program was probably the best decision I could have made. Although it has been challenging to pick up the Greek language, I believe this was a better option than traditional classes.

Easy as 1, 2, 3......
As advertised, the program gave immediate results. I am teaching my granddaughter how to speak Greek. She is learning at a faster pace than I anticipated. After 3 weeks she is beginning to speak to me and others in Greek in small increments but definitely Greek.
I should have mentioned that she is only 4 years old, but she loves the process. She counts how many mistakes she made the first time and how many in review. It is always less and she marvels at her progress.
I would have rated as 5 star if it included a section into how to teach children like my granddaughter. I could not find any help. I hope I did not miss it.

Honeymooners
My fiance and I decided to travel to Greece for our honeymoon. My whole family is from Greece, but I do not speak Greek. My father decieded to get us Rosetta Stone for a engagement party gift so that we could learn to speak some before we went. I found that the program is so easy for both myself and my fiance (who has never even really heard the language before). I've had more time than he has to keep up with the lessons, but in almost 3 months I have gotten through almost 3 disks! I was randomly at a resturant the other day and spoke with the owner in Greek! I'm so amazed at the pace I am learning and the amount of material I am retaining. We're hooked and can't wait to learn another language for our next vacation! Thanks Rosetta Stone!
