Solid foundation In combination with writing study, Rosetta Stone is an excellent method for impoving my accent and comprehension in Persian. The photographs used in the program are captivating, and the native speakers pleasant to listen to and emulate. Overall, first-rate quality! April 8, 2010
Wow! For the past 12 years, I attended classes and listened to CDs in an effort to learn Persian so I could participate in conversations with my husband and his family and friends. During that time, I picked up phrases and a few words, but never had a good grasp on the language, in particular grammar. After my first 30 minutes on Rosetta Stone Persian Level 1, I knew this was going to take me where I wanted to go - to be able to converse in Farsi. I have only successfully completed Level 1 Unit 1, but my comprehension of both grammar and vocabulary has improved tremendously! I look forward to the rest of Level 1 and wish I had started this much sooner, since we are taking a trip to Iran this spring. I am so excited about RS that once I get through Persian, I plan to learn Spanish or Italian. Mahn Rosetta Stone khalee doostoram!! (I like RS very much!!) April 7, 2010
Rosetta Stone Works! Between Junior High and high school graduation I tried taking French, Spanish, German, and Latin. I did poorly in all of these classes because of the style of teaching that was used, memorizing phrases, words, and practicing sentence structure. Needless to say, I got nothing out of taking any of these classes. Three months ago I began using Rosetta Stone to learn how to speak Persian (Farsi). I am almost finished with level one and I feel I could easily hold a basic conversation. I have learned the numerical system, colors, names of many everyday things, ie. cars, houses, schools, buildings, etc. All of this has been learned through Rosetta Stone's immersion technique of teaching. I am confident that when I finish level three I will be able to read, write, and speak fluently in a language that is normally very difficult to learn. I would recommend this product to everyone wanting to learn a new language, or get more proficient at a language they already know. July 9, 2009
