How We Teach

Intuitive Language Learning

Rosetta Stone uses rich visual imagery to help learners think in a new language. This association of language and images is an integral part of our Dynamic Immersion® method, ensuring a direct connection between words and their meanings.

As children, we learned our first languages by connecting the meaning of new words and phrases to the everyday world. This “complete immersion” process helped us learn language naturally, without translation.

At Rosetta Stone, we believe learners can use this same natural language-learning process to acquire a new language quickly and easily. Working closely with language experts, we developed Dynamic Immersion®, a method that combines advanced technology with native speakers and a rich visual environment to mimic the process of learning a first language.

Rosetta Stone teaches new languages through a step-by-step sequence leading to advanced proficiency. New words become associated with familiar objects, actions and ideas. Words build to phrases and sentences in a systematic progression, helping learners achieve language-learning success faster.

Customer Comments

"Rosetta Stone provides today’s businesses with the language learning tools needed to compete in tomorrow’s global markets. In today’s diverse employee market reducing language barriers is key to any business’s future. - Trevor Baillie, Pitney Bowes, PSI

"Rosetta Stone has been a god-send to our program. We have a limited number of tutors available for our students that need one-on-one instruction. The advantage is that we can work with more than one student at a time and give the individual student attention that they require. Keep up the great work." - Barbara Wesley, Executive Director, Literacy Volunteers of Cibola County
