Laurence Franklin

Laurence Franklin has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors since February 2011 and as a Director since May 2006.

In July 2011 Mr. Franklin was named Chief Executive Officer of Frette Srl, a manufacturer and retailer of luxury linens and home furnishings. Mr. Franklin is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Tumi Inc., a manufacturer and retailer of luxury travel, business and lifestyle accessories, where he served from January 2002 until March 2009. Prior to joining Tumi, Mr. Franklin served as President of CoachLeatherware Company, Inc. and General Manager of Elizabeth Arden Inc. Mr. Franklin began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. in audit, and then worked in the Management Consulting Services group at Price Waterhouse & Co.

Mr. Franklin earned his B.A. from Colgate University and his M.S. from the New York University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Franklin serves on the boards of two private companies in addition to his role at Rosetta Stone.
