What is Rosetta Course®?
Rosetta Course® is our core language-learning solution, and its lessons teach the building blocks of your new language. From lesson one, the language you're learning is the only one you'll use. From there, you’ll engage in our carefully sequenced set of lessons on the path to proficiency.

Level Two: Continue to build essential language structure by talking about your environment and basic social interactions.
Level Three: Connect with the world by sharing your opinions, feelings, interests and much more.
Level Four: Strengthen your command of the language and develop conversational skills to discuss work, health, and culture.
Level Five: Develop your command of the language as you refine crucial communication skills to discuss government, culture, and more.
Can I take Rosetta Course lessons anywhere besides my computer?
If you want to take your language learning beyond the confines of a computer monitor or laptop, there are a variety of options to do so.

• TOTALe Companion™ - These are specially designed activities to supplement the primary lessons. These activities allow you to practice what you learned in Rosetta Course no matter where you are. Available as a free download for TOTALe Online subscribers.

How are the lessons constructed?
Rosetta Course is divided into units with lessons and focused activities. Core lessons will teach you your new language, while focused activities build skills and reinforce the language you've learned. At the end of each unit, a conversational Milestone prepares you for live practice in Rosetta Studio™. There are four core lessons and a Milestone within one unit. There are four units per level.
How long does the typical Rosetta Course lesson last?
There are three types of activities you can take, the length of which varies:
Core lessons- These lessons teach new material and should take roughly 30 minutes to complete.
Focused activities- These activities reinforce and expand on what you've learned in the core lesson and usually run from 5-10 minutes.
Milestones- Expect to spend about 15 minutes in these simulated conversations to cap off your unit.
