Rosetta Stone Game Jam 2011

The Second Annual Rosetta Stone Game Jam kicks off this Friday, January 7, at 9:00 p.m. at our Harrisonburg, Virginia, office. Game developers from all over the United States will work around the clock to create games in 36 hours, and then will show them off to our panel of judges. The top teams will win great prizes like iMacs, MacBook Airs, and subscriptions to Rosetta Stone TOTALeRosetta Stone employees.

The Annual Game Jam gives competitors an opportunity to mingle with our developers and other employees, and to check out our Harrisonburg development center. Last year’s participants were bright, creative, and fun—so they fit right in here and we had a blast. We even ended up hiring a member of the second-place team to work on our games-development team!

This year, we’ve created separate divisions for student and professional teams. Thirty teams applied, so we had a difficult challenge narrowing them down to the top five student teams and the top six pro teams. We’re very excited about the level of talent competing in this year’s Game Jam and we can’t wait to see what they create!
