About Brooks Hollar

A. Brooks Hollar worked for Rosetta Stone in 1998–99 and returned to the company in 2006. He’s worked on both customer-facing apps and backend systems, and currently he’s a manager and senior software developer of the emerging-platforms team. Brooks is passionate about the mobile application space and led the teams that launched Rosetta Stone’s first mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. While in graduate school, before returning to Rosetta Stone, Brooks developed the Windows Mobile client that won the US 2006 Microsoft Imagine Cup competition. Brooks is also very serious about Rosetta Stone’s annual beard- and mustache-growing contest. He placed second in the 2009 Donegal Beard contest and first in the Trouble ‘Stache category of the 2010 competition (pictured).
