February 5th marks this year’s Digital Learning Day. Organized by the Alliance for Excellent Education, Digital Learning Day celebrates technology-based innovations in teaching and learning to focus on improving educational outcomes for the world’s underserved students through blended learning and other initiatives.
Events are held across the United States and around the world. Some raise awareness of the benefits of digital learning. Others demonstrate the accomplishments possible when inquisitive students use learning technology. The national showcase event is broadcast live on the Internet from the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, and features demonstrations of the latest digital teaching techniques plus a forum with political and educational leaders.
It’s important for the nation’s leaders to commit themselves to making connected, interactive learning available for every student, of every ability, from every neighborhood. Rosetta Stone supports this goal to create a better future for our learners and is proud to support Digital Learning Day again this year.
We’ve seen firsthand the impact language learning has on students’ futures, including how our technology-based solutions help:
- Students learn languages efficiently and effectively to build marketable skills valued in the global economy
- English Language Learners improve their English skills, contributing to overall academic success
- Teachers acquire language skills to improve communication with diverse student populations
